Welcome
THz waves are electromagnetic waves with wavelengths ranging from several 10 µm to several 1 mm, and nondestructive measurement using THz waves has attracted much attention in recent years as an advanced measurement technology. The group is developing new THz wave generation and detection devices, and is also conducting applied research on THz wave spectroscopy of biomolecules, nondestructive measurement and imaging, and so on. The group also collaborates closely with the Gyrotron group, the Low Temperature Quantum Materials Group, and the Makino Laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and holds joint laboratory seminars (journal meetings). We are also actively engaged in joint research with many universities, research institutes, and companies in Japan and abroad.
